Founded in 1968 by Enrico Astori, Antonia Astori, and Adelaide Acerbi, Driade has long been an aesthetic laboratory for modern design. Early in its history, it worked with a number of Italy’s leading lights, including Enzo Mari and Alessandro Mendini. It then expanded its roster to include Philippe Starck, Oscar Tusquets, Tokujin Yoshioka, Borek Sipek, Patricia Urquiola, and Fabio Novembre, among others. Today, Driade is expanding its global reach while staying at the design’s forefront under artist director, David Chipperfield.
